Meg Shevenock is a writer,
artist and private teacher.

 

Meg’s debut poetry collection, The Miraculous, Sometimes, won the Marystina Santiestevan first book prize, judged by Bob Hicok for Conduit Books & Ephemera. Her poems and essays have appeared in such places as Times Literary Supplement, Lana Turner, Best New Poets, Denver Quarterly, Ninth Letter, jubilat, and Kenyon Review blog. She is a recipient of a writer's grant from The American Academy of Arts and Letters and an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award winner in Poetry. She is an occasional “reader” and researcher for internationally acclaimed visual artist Ann Hamilton. Meg taught poetry at California State Summer School for the Arts at CalArts in 2023.
